Our Friendly Staff
Faheem joined the practice in September 2015 as a resident optometrist and store partner. He has a first class honours degree In Optometry and has a passion for providing quality eyecare. Outside of work he enjoys socialising with friends and enjoys playing cricket and football.
Karen is the practice manager and a qualified dispensing optician at the practice. Karen has worked at the practice for 23 years, she thoroughly enjoys her role and has a vast knowledge in spectacle dispensing. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks especially if she gets a chance to stop for coffee and cake.
Lorraine has been happy working at the practice for over 20 years and gained a wealth of experience in that time. She first trained as a Dispensing Optician at Bradford in 1988, then went on to qualify as a contact lens optician in 1992. She studied further, gaining the Hons qualification for advance contact lens fitting in 2003. Lorraine enjoys routine contact lens fits and is also proud to have referrals to her from Ophthalmologists at surrounding Hospitals for more complex fittings.
Contact Lens Optician
Michaelayne joined the practice as a newly qualified resident optometrist in July 2021. She has a first class honours degree in Optometry from the University of Manchester. Outside of work, she enjoys the challenge of doing escape rooms with friends and spending time with her elderly little dog Socks.
Joanne has worked at the practice for over 10 years. She was given the opportunity to train as a Dispensing Optician through the practice and studied at Bradford College to gain her degree. Now qualified, she is working on expanding her specialist knowledge. Joanne enjoys her varied day to day role in the practice. Outside of work her interests are gardening, baking and going for walks with her family.
Hazel has worked in optics for over 6 years as a optical assistant, she loves to learn new skills and meet new people. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family, reading books in particular thrillers and completing crosswords and puzzles.
