Eye Examinations

The best possible eye health relies on regular eye examinations.

Your Eye Examination

At our independent practice in Rochdale, we provide comprehensive eye examinations that check up on your whole visual system and screen for conditions that may be affecting your eyes.

Both our private and NHS examinations will provide you with the peace of mind of knowing that you’re doing everything you can to keep your eyes healthy.

You will have the opportunity to have retinal photographs taken as part of your examination. Many eye conditions, including glaucoma and macular degeneration, can be detected in the very early stages by retinal screening. This in turn allows faster and more effective treatment for you.

Keeping Your Eyes Healthy

Your eye health is our highest priority so we are dedicated to providing the best care and advice available.

Keeping your eyes healthy is something you can do habitually through diet, exercise, taking breaks from screens and protecting your eyes from the sun. Of course, there are some things like vision loss and eye conditions that you can’t take care of – that’s where we come in.

We pride ourselves in making sure every aspect of our service is held to a high standard of professionalism so you will always get the care you need.

Enhanced Eye Exams With OCT Technology

Our enhanced eye examinations are available for everyone but we especially recommend them for patients with family histories of eye conditions, patients over the age of 60 and those with particular symptoms.

Included in the enhanced eye exam is an OCT scan. OCT or Optical Coherence Tomography is a technology that allows your optometrist to examine the back of your eye using digital imagery. This technology is excellent at spotting conditions in their early stages and assessing macular health.
